MRI Harbour Festival

Details: Maritime Rescue Institute provides Stonehaven and surrounding area with its independent lifeboat.  It relies almost entirely on voluntary contributions and funding.  Its biggest fundraising event is The Harbour Festival, this year to be held on Sunday 5th September from 12.00 - 4.00.  As in the past the afternoon provides song, dance, music, maritime heritage, fun for old and young alike, seafood demonstrations, rescue dogs, demonstrations by the Lifeboat Crew, pipeband, stalls and much much more.

The Stoney Stomp
Location:Run- Fetteresso Forest, Stonehaven & Ceilidh - Stonehaven Town Hall

Time:Both Runs start at 12noon, Ceildih runs from 7pm-11pm
Details:On Saturday 11th September 2010, The Stoney Stomp returns with a 5k walk/run and 7mile run around the beautiful trails of Fetteresso Forest on the outskirts of Stonehaven in the afternoon and a traditional Scottish Ceilidh dance held in Stonehaven Town Hall in the evening.Both runs are a great way to spend an afternoon providing some fantastic views of the countryside and with music provided by Yousedancin, the evening Ceilidh is sure to be a lively night out!
