Tree Planting
Location: Various locations in Stonehaven
Date:  First Saturday every Month
Time: 11am - 12noon
Details: As part of the BBC's Breathing Places,Tree O'Clock Summary, Stonehaven Horizon Group will be joining with communities all over Britain to plant as many trees as possible within the hour on multiple locations throughout the country. The aim is to beat last year’s Guinness World Record of 653,143 trees in an hour.

Pantomime Wizard Of Oz
Location: Stonehaven Town Hall
Date: 9-12 December 2009
Time: 7:30pm (2:30pm Sat matinee)
Details: Presented by "Stonehaven  Ury Players"  The classic and much-loved  tale of Dorothy's quest to return to Kansas (with the help of Scarecrow, Tin  Man and Lion) is given a panto spin while keeping the charm and (mostly!)  the plot of the original.

Cakes, Cards and Cones
Location: Stonehaven Community Education Centre
Date: Saturday 5th December 2009,
Time: 13:30 - 15:30
Details:Have fun making winter cakes for the birds and putting together your own cards and seasonal decorations using recycled and natural materials. Making bird cake is always popular but also messy, so don't wear your best clothes!
This is an 'open' Watch event. The Stonehaven Watch Club is a nature club for children 8 years and over, meeting monthly. Children under 8 may attend but must be accompanied by an adult

Husky Dog Event
Location: Mineralwell Park
Date: Sat/Sun 19th/20th December 2009
Time: 10am to 4pm
Details:Several teams of husky dogs will be offering sleigh rides, hug a husky.
Burgers, refreshments etc will also be on sale. Great fun for all the family.
On Sat 19th Dec ther will be a procession of 3 teams of dogs taking Santa on a sleigh through the town to the Market Square where everyone is invited to meet them between 4.30 and 5.30pm. A piper will also be there.

Hogmanay Ceilidh
Location: Stonehaven Town Hall
Date: Thurs 31st December 2009
Time: 8.30pm
Details:Music by Hogtie

The typical format of the night is as follows:
Doors Open at 8.30 pm - A ‘piping’ welcome to all.
Band on stage from 9pm, with a short break to allow the band (& us!!) to catch their breath.Break 11.30pm to allow folks to see the Fireballs or join in the Hogmanay Party on the Market Square.
Band back on stage 12.45am until 2am
