Baby Fair
Location: Stonehaven Town Hall
Date: Fri 25th April 08
Time: 7 - 9pm
Details: THE STONEHAVEN Baby Fair is a one-stop shop from bump right through to preschool and beyond, and it is right on your doorstep.
The Stonehaven Baby Fair is on Friday April 25, the same day the Scottish Baby Show opens in Glasgow, but organiser Nicole Hepburn sees the Stonehaven event as an alternative to the annual Glasgow event.
She said: For many north east mums and mums-to-be it is just not practical to travel to Glasgow for this event, so I decided to organise a similar event close to home.
In actual fact many of the exhibitors at the Glasgow event have also snapped up stalls in Stonehaven, including Truly Madly Baby, Jo Jingles and The National Childbirth Trust.
The Stonehaven event, which is being organised in support of CLIC Sargent, brings together baby and child related retailers, services and organisations giving you the information you need for your family.
Stall include childrens wear by Thistle Kids and 4Kidz, Venture Photography, Tooters music classes, cakes by Sweet Lily Adams, Forever Living Aloe Vera, Usborne Books and unique hand crafted gifts and cards.
The date was also ideal for organiser Nicole, who runs The Nappy Laundry Company, as it falls in Real Nappy Week 2008, The Baby Fair is a great way to celebrate Real Nappy Week she said. Also exhibiting at the fair will be Grampian Real Nappy Project, so it is a great opportunity for people to find out more about real nappies in their area.
The event is completely free and if it proves a success it is hoped that it may become an annual fixture.
Nicole added: Id encourage everyone to come along and have a look at what is on offer for young families in the area and to have an enjoyable night out with friends.
