Annual General Meeting

to be held in the Lower Hall of

Stonehaven Town Hall on Tuesday 27th May 2008 at 7:30 pm

5.        The current version of the Bye-laws , in section 32, states:

 

Directors/management committee

  1. The partnership shall be governed by a board of directors.  The directors will include one representative from AT LEAST the following groups:-
  • Stonehaven It’s Special
  • Horizon
  • Stonehaven Business Association
  • Stonehaven Community Council
  • Stonehaven Heritage Society
  • Stonehaven Arts & Leisure Trust
  • One elected representative of Aberdeenshire Council

 

The motion, proposed by the Community Council, is to delete the words from “one representative from AT LEAST  ….  Leisure Trust”, thereby making the paragraph read

 

  1.  The partnership shall be governed by a board of directors.  The directors will include one elected representative of Aberdeenshire Council.

 

6.        Election of Board

·         Current Board Members who have indicated a wish to stand for the coming year are:

1.     Gordon Ritchie               - representing the Heritage Society

2.     George McGillivray         - representing the Business Association

3.     David Fleming                - representing the Community Council

4.     Trudi Clayton                 - representing the Folk Festival

5.     Allan Cairnduff               - representing the Horizon Group

6.     Mike Duncan                  - representing Mackie School Board

7.     Keith Stewart                 - representing the Aberdeen & Stonehaven Sailing Club

Cllr. Peter Bellarby remains as the one elected representative of Aberdeenshire Council  

  • Nominations from the floor (the full Board is up to a maximum of 12 people)

 

7.        Town Hall Progress Report – by Gordon Ritchie

  • Community Involvement
  • Conditions and costs
  • Marketing of the Town Hall’s facilities
  • Innovative ideas

 

8.        Town Strategy – Introduced by Willie Munro, Area Manager, Aberdeenshire Council

 

Copies of the Town Strategy document will be available at the meeting.  A copy will be published on the web site.

 

9.        A.O.C.B.

 

 

 

Everyone is invited to join us for a glass of wine after the meeting to allow the discussions to continue amongst the representatives present.

 

All members of the public are welcome.  Member organisations have one (and only one) representative who has voting powers.
